Growing up in a small Vermont town pushed me toward a life of “creative culture.” As a way to pass time and express myself, I turned to the arts. What started as a love of film and entertainment eventually flourished into a desire to explore several artistic mediums and fabricate new universes through the art of storytelling. In practicing various creative fields (directing, writing, acting, illustration) and becoming a multi-hyphenate, I was able to build an awareness and adaptability like no other, two characteristics I pride myself on. I value the ability to communicate, to believe in one’s self, and to set goals and achieve them.
I graduated in May 2018 with a degree in Marketing and am proficient in French from studying in Toulouse and Paris. After gaining experience as an assistant at La Monte Productions in Beverly Hills, working at a marketing and branding agency in downtown Los Angeles, and working as a creative marketing intern at a women’s fashion brand based in Manhattan, I launched a career in entertainment at 21st Century Fox / Fox Searchlight Pictures as a Publicity Assistant. This expanded my knowledge of the various paths within the film industry and taught me to be very efficient, task-oriented, and carry out multiple duties at once.
Using my knowledge of strategic planning and artistic direction, I am currently pursuing a full-time career in directing, producing, and writing in New York City, all within the entertainment sector. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I was able to finish writing my second feature film, several short films, develop two episodic series concepts, complete a novella, safely shoot a short film in Vermont, and make strong headway on two novels. My short film ANYTHING was also chosen as a semi-finalist in the New York International Screenplay Awards.
I take any chance to learn and develop myself as a professional storyteller, including continuous networking through Sundance Collab, online Masterclasses, virtual panels, and volunteering. Key topics that I am eager to explore on screen include global cultures, LGBTQ+ experiences, and city dynamics.
At the end of the day, I have an undying passion for entertainment, the arts, and human connection all through global and diverse storytelling. And these passions are so strong that they sometimes drives me mad – mad to live.
But it’s the mad ones who make history.
